So, if you’re really looking for something that sounds close to some of the premium earbuds out there, check either one of these Skullcandy or Anker earbuds. The sound profile could be a little more balanced, but generally at this price point, these do fine. They don’t sound cheap or “hollow” though, which is something I generally worry off with cheaper earbuds, so that’s really good. They do have minimal bass output and aren’t as loud as AirPods but are loud enough. If you are looking for something to use while in the office, or while commuting and listening to something in the background, then these sound great. Overall, the design and comfort of these earbuds is okay, they aren’t a 100% AirPods clone and I actually don’t mind that.ĭo these sound like a $150+ pair of earbuds? Well… no, but they sound good for an under $40 pair of earbuds. Once both buds are in, you will see LED indication that they are charging. The top of the case can be flicked open with one hand and the earbuds sit inside the case vertically. On the back side of the case is a Micro-USB jack to plug in for charging. It’s fully white and just has the Billboard logo printed on the front. The earbuds come with a charging case, that is pretty simple. As a first look, I was kind of turned off by the design, but after looking into them for a bit, I grew to like the slight change of design from the AirPods. There’s a white multi-function button that’s dead center. The back side of the earbuds definitely looks different than the AirPods, they are flat from the back and have this silver strip that goes all the way down to the bottom. The added thickness makes them fit more securely, but for some that may cause discomfort and might even lead to them falling off more often. However, the earbuds are definitely thicker and some people might find them too large to fit in their ear.
